Who We Are
Our Beginning
Victim Advocate Angels was founded in 2023 by Alexa Hansen who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to helping homicide survivors and their families get through the hardest time in their lives. After the loss of her sister to homicide in 2018 Alexa has seen first hand how broken the system is and the dire need for reform, advocacy, funding, support, and knowledge that is severely lacking in the homicide community for victims and their families.
Our Staff
Our team is made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve. We strive to have staff and volunteers that have also been directly impacted by homicide so that there is an unmatched level of empathy and compassion for helping those walking through this journey. We work together to provide resources, advocacy, knowledge, and support to all who have been directly impacted by homicide.
